That bag the one that she describes as the big tacky bag that has a huge face on.

So I had to laugh when I saw her describe that because it was just so funny.

And then Comey's asking her, well, what happened to Matthew?

so then Cammie happened to call Emily's.

Speaker: 00:01:09

And she's asking what happened to Matthew why's Matthew, not in Santa Fe.

And then she decides, well, Emily, if you have a hotel room and you're

Speaker: 00:01:19

going to be there and well, you know what, you stay right there, girlfriend,

Speaker: 00:01:22

I'm going to come and meet you and we're going to have a girls trip.

Speaker: 00:01:26

And the last thing that Emily really wants is to be stuck in a hotel room would come

Speaker: 00:01:31

to me after she slept with her boyfriend.

Speaker: 00:01:34

But she doesn't get to say no, because no matter what Cami is determined

Speaker: 00:01:39

that she's coming there, whether Emily likes it or not, and she's

Speaker: 00:01:43

being a little bit pushy about it.

Speaker: 00:01:45

So Emily you've got no choice, girl.

Speaker: 00:01:49

So then Emily calls Mindy and she convinces her to come there because

Speaker: 00:01:53

obviously she doesn't want to be alone with Comey and she doesn't want

Speaker: 00:01:57

to accidentally blurt out that she slept with her boyfriend Gabriel.

Speaker: 00:02:03

Mindy's not really in the mood to get out of bed and go there, but

Speaker: 00:02:08

you know, she could be convinced.

Speaker: 00:02:10

So Emily convinced her and she did say that.

Speaker: 00:02:14

And then Emily meets Missier to pre in the lobby.

Speaker: 00:02:19

And he's quite the character he's got on this FOA, fur coat.

Speaker: 00:02:24

That's like white with some lime and it's pretty fabulous.

Speaker: 00:02:29

Oh.

Speaker: 00:02:29

And let's not forget about that hat, the ridiculous hat with the flowers on it.

It is a bit too much, but then again, we're in Paris and nothing in Paris is too

Speaker: 00:02:40

much because it is the capital of fashion.

Speaker: 00:02:43

So Mr.

Speaker: 00:02:44

Dupree convinces Emily, that he wants to do an impromptu photo shoot, and that he's

Speaker: 00:02:50

going to tag Pierre because he claims that they both worked in the fashion industry

Speaker: 00:02:56

and they've known each other for decades.

Speaker: 00:02:59

And I think he's trying to give off the impression as if like they're

Speaker: 00:03:01

buddy, buddy, and they're tight, but in reality, they're really not.

Speaker: 00:03:05

So.

Speaker: 00:03:07

You have to stop being so trusting of everyone because you

Speaker: 00:03:11

usually get you into trouble.

Speaker: 00:03:13

And that's what I remember from the first season of Emily and Paris,

that whenever you trusted people a little bit too much, it did get you

Speaker: 00:03:21

into a little bit of a predicament.

Speaker: 00:03:24

So note to self.

so in the next scene, Julian calls Emily and he's freaking out and he's

asking her why she is reposting that post on Instagram and Julie discloses

that muesli or Dupree is actually peers.

Oh, Emily.

Speaker: 00:03:45

Now look what you did.

And then Emily says that she's going to take it down, but Julian says,

no, you don't do that because in France, we don't work on weekends.

It's illegal to work on weekends and France.

Speaker: 00:03:58

I didn't know that.

Did you guys know that?

Well, all I can say is it would be pretty cool if it was the same way

in the U S because in us, people have no boundaries and they will

contact you at 11 o'clock at night.

5:00 AM in the morning and on weekends and in the U S people do work on the weekends.

But it's interesting how they can different cultures.

Like the rules are so different and there's different laws and different

customs and, in France, it's definitely, a lot of things are very different.

Even in Canada, a lot of things are very different.

Speaker: 00:04:33

So I think it's interesting to really see how.

Speaker: 00:04:37

You know, society really lives and how different cultures work and what their,

Speaker: 00:04:43

laws are and what their rules are and what they're dictated by, because it's quite

Speaker: 00:04:47

different from one country to the next.

Speaker: 00:04:49

And I think it's an interesting study.

Speaker: 00:04:51

So as you're watching Emily and Paris, I think it's a good idea to

Speaker: 00:04:55

kind of note these things and say, oh, how does that compare to other.

Speaker: 00:04:59

And then guess who calls Emily?

Speaker: 00:05:01

It is a mad scientist, AKA Luke, and he calls Emily and he's questioning her.

And he says, why are you working on the weekend?

Speaker: 00:05:09

Why are you trying to work on the weekend?

Speaker: 00:05:11

It's against the law and you should be partying in center pay

Speaker: 00:05:15

because that's what people do.

Speaker: 00:05:16

But of course you have to understand.

Speaker: 00:05:18

Emily's not like the normal person she's quite different.

Speaker: 00:05:22

Right?

Speaker: 00:05:23

So Luke, she's not going to like really follow the rules.

She's going to do what she wants because she is a little bit stubborn

and she's convinced at this point that she's going to go to the venue

and she wants to check out sham pear.

Speaker: 00:05:38

And that's what she's going to.

Speaker: 00:05:39

So Emily goes to the restaurant and she's asking for the waiter and the

waiter's a little baffled because he's not understanding what it is that

Speaker: 00:05:49

Emily wants with this sham pair thing.

Speaker: 00:05:52

And then, Mr.

Speaker: 00:05:53

Lauren too, seems to be like the owner and the manager running the

Speaker: 00:05:57

place and he comes over and he's asking Emily, well, who sent you?

Speaker: 00:06:02

Because, you know, Emily shared that.

Speaker: 00:06:04

And then he's asking Emily who sent her here after she named

Speaker: 00:06:07

the PR firm that she works for.

Speaker: 00:06:09

So I think deep down inside, he's kind of wondering as Sylvie center

Speaker: 00:06:13

or what's going on because you will later discover on this episode that

Speaker: 00:06:18

he is actually married to Sylvie, even though they're technically kind of

Speaker: 00:06:21

separated, but there's still maybe.

Speaker: 00:06:24

So then the waiter brings over the bottle of champagne and he's about to open it.

Speaker: 00:06:30

And Emily says, no, you're supposed to spray it.

Speaker: 00:06:33

Not drink.

Speaker: 00:06:34

Okay.

Speaker: 00:06:35

That was funny.

Speaker: 00:06:36

And so that solves the big mystery for Mr.

Speaker: 00:06:39

Laurent because he's like, oh, no wonder it tastes so bad.

Speaker: 00:06:43

And now I get why.

Speaker: 00:06:44

So that's interesting.

Speaker: 00:06:45

Cause he didn't really know that.

Speaker: 00:06:47

And Sylvie, you should have told him, but I guess there'll be just like

Speaker: 00:06:50

having a laugh with that herself.

Speaker: 00:06:52

And of course, Emily has to be extra you guys.

Speaker: 00:06:55

Cause that's what she does.

Speaker: 00:06:57

And you know, she's extra than you're probably.

Speaker: 00:07:01

LOL.

Speaker: 00:07:02

So that's actually a side joke from a tick-tock the videos that have been

Speaker: 00:07:07

going around and it's been like one of their concepts there of content where

Speaker: 00:07:13

it's been going around and they've been saying, oh, if I'm extra than your

Speaker: 00:07:16

basic, so I'm sure some of you guys who are active on tick-tock have seen

Speaker: 00:07:22

this and know what I'm talking about, but I thought that was interesting.

Speaker: 00:07:25

So then Emily motions of restaurant staff over to her.

Speaker: 00:07:29

And it's interesting cause they're at our Beck and call and she has

Speaker: 00:07:33

them filming her Instagram story.

Speaker: 00:07:35

Yeah, it would be nice.

Speaker: 00:07:37

Like if we could just have someone that would follow us around all the time,

Speaker: 00:07:40

that could film us and help us with our Instagram stories, that would be nice.

Speaker: 00:07:45

So Emily, you're quite good at this and you know what?

Speaker: 00:07:48

They didn't mind helping you at all.

Speaker: 00:07:50

And even Mr.

Speaker: 00:07:53

Laurent, he seems quite amused at her shenanigans because she has the waiters

spray, the champagne all over her.

Speaker: 00:08:00

And on top of it, she looks like she's having an amazing time.

And there you go.

So she's got that cute charm and she has that in Paris, they call

it Jenna CWA and she's just kind of captivates and mesmerizes people and

Speaker: 00:08:17

she's got that cute innocent personality, that is charming.

Speaker: 00:08:20

And she just draws people in.

Speaker: 00:08:22

And I think that's one of the things that's gone in her

Speaker: 00:08:25

favor in terms of business and probably the men department too.

Speaker: 00:08:30

So then Mindy and Comey arrived to the hotel

Speaker: 00:08:34

And when they get to the front desk, the front desk sees Mindy's last

Speaker: 00:08:37

name and recognizes that Mindy's father was there two weeks ago.

Speaker: 00:08:43

And so the front desk, lady tells Mindy and Mindy tries not to act

Speaker: 00:08:47

surprise because in reality, she has not talked to her father in a long,

Speaker: 00:08:51

long time, but she's trying to act like, she has, and she's trying to

Speaker: 00:08:55

act like she knows that he was there.

Speaker: 00:08:58

But in reality, what's happening is she's kind of disowning herself from her family

Speaker: 00:09:03

and she wants to make it on her own.

Speaker: 00:09:05

And it's a bit of a long story.

Speaker: 00:09:07

So we'll probably get into that in one of the later episodes, but, she's

Speaker: 00:09:12

just trying to, make it herself and she comes from a wealthy family.

Speaker: 00:09:16

And we'll talk about that later.

Speaker: 00:09:18

So in the next scene, all the girls are at the pool and

Speaker: 00:09:21

Comey walks away for a little.

Speaker: 00:09:23

And Mindy is talking to Emily and she's sharing with her that, Comey keeps

Speaker: 00:09:30

checking out her Instagram all the time to see who's looking at her stories.

Speaker: 00:09:35

And obviously she's looking to see if Gabriel has been checking out her

Speaker: 00:09:38

stories to see what she's been up to.

Speaker: 00:09:41

But yeah, she's also sharing that on the same token.

Speaker: 00:09:45

She's also talking about other hop men.

Speaker: 00:09:48

So Mindy tells Emily.

Speaker: 00:09:50

That Comey probably came on the strip because she wants to get laid on

Speaker: 00:09:55

this trip and Emily's like, oh no.

Speaker: 00:09:58

Oh no, no, no, we can't have that happen because of course not her whole

Speaker: 00:10:03

plan ever since she slept with Comey's boyfriend, Gabriel is that she wants

Speaker: 00:10:08

to try to get them back together.

Speaker: 00:10:11

And that's the plan that she's sticking to and we'll see what happens.

Speaker: 00:10:16

and then Comey says that the only way to get a man out of your system

Speaker: 00:10:21

is to have sex with another one.

Speaker: 00:10:23

So yes, Mindy, you were right.

Speaker: 00:10:25

Mindy was right.

Speaker: 00:10:26

That Comey is on this agenda to get laid literally on this.

Speaker: 00:10:31

So in the next scene, we see Mr.

Speaker: 00:10:32

Pier and of course he's angry and those eyebrows are really high as they can be.

Speaker: 00:10:39

And you've got that frown that you were seeing, and he looks a little

Speaker: 00:10:43

scary, but he's pretty upset about that whole fiasco with his competitor

Speaker: 00:10:48

and the post on social media.

Speaker: 00:10:50

And so Julian goes to see him and Julian apologizes for the mistake.

Speaker: 00:10:55

And Pierre says, mistake.

Speaker: 00:10:58

Angrily.

Speaker: 00:10:59

And then he says, this is a calculated attack, so that didn't go too well.

Speaker: 00:11:05

And poor Julian Julian's have to clean up the mess that Emily

Speaker: 00:11:09

kind of created, but Emily's off vacationing and central pay right now.

Speaker: 00:11:14

so in the next scene, Tommy takes the girls to a party at this beautiful

Speaker: 00:11:18

mansion where the host of the party.

Speaker: 00:11:21

She seems to know him and he introduces her to this young handsome, sexy guy.

Speaker: 00:11:28

And now Comey has her eye on the sky because she's really ready

Speaker: 00:11:32

to try to forget about Gabriel.

Speaker: 00:11:34

Gabriel has not really reached out to her and she does have self-respect

Speaker: 00:11:39

and she's got some prides.

Speaker: 00:11:40

So she's like, I'm not going to reach out to him either.

Speaker: 00:11:43

And then of course Emily's like, Ron, can you snap a photo of.

Speaker: 00:11:47

And you have to wonder is she really wanted a photo at that exact moment?

Speaker: 00:11:53

I mean, could she have waited our what's she doing this intentionally because Cami

Speaker: 00:12:00

and Rowan were flirting with each other and she's trying to break it up before

Speaker: 00:12:03

it goes all the way to the bedroom.

Speaker: 00:12:06

What do you guys think?

Speaker: 00:12:07

I think that she didn't really need the photo at that exact moment.

Speaker: 00:12:11

Although, maybe she did, you know, because she does take a lot of photos

Speaker: 00:12:15

for Instagram, but I think that it was really because she's trying to break up

Speaker: 00:12:20

this connection before it goes further.

Speaker: 00:12:23

And by the way, how fabulous does Emily look in the sequin dress that

Speaker: 00:12:28

is showing off her cute figure?

Like she is the cutest and all of her outfits and the fashion in

Speaker: 00:12:35

season two of Emily and Perry.

It is off the hook.

Amazing.

Like I said before, I'm absolutely loving it.

So then as Rowan is snapping the photo for Instagram guests, who's

calling it's Gabriel and then Rowan says, oh, someone's calling.

Speaker: 00:12:53

It says Gabriel.

Speaker: 00:12:55

And Emily's like, oh, just decline the.

Speaker: 00:12:57

Well, Gabriel's not going to give up that easily, Emily, you know, he knows

Speaker: 00:13:01

he wants you and he's gonna go after you.

Speaker: 00:13:04

So Gabriel's a little persistent and it's also because Emily, you keep ignoring him.

Speaker: 00:13:10

And of course, he's going to call again.

Speaker: 00:13:12

And then Ron says, Emily, I think he really wants you.

Speaker: 00:13:17

And she's like, no, he doesn't.

Speaker: 00:13:20

And that's an interesting moment right there because

Speaker: 00:13:23

yeah, he really does want you.

Speaker: 00:13:26

And you can pretend all you want, but you know that you

Speaker: 00:13:29

want him to, and there you go.

Speaker: 00:13:31

And that's going to be that way.

You can pretend all you want, but the truth is going to come

out sooner or later, by the way, when they were by the pool com.

The black dress with the cutouts on the sides and the buttons.

It's very Versace looking, I would say.

So she really looked good in that dress.

And then the saxophone guy, I have to say he was pretty amazing.

And then all of a sudden, Emily turns around and she sees Comey

kissing rod and OMG, of course.

Speaker: 00:14:05

She's going to have to interrupt them before it can go too far.

Speaker: 00:14:08

And that's exactly what she does.

Speaker: 00:14:10

And she's trying to drag everyone out of there so they can leave, but Comey's

Speaker: 00:14:15

like, Hey, Rowan, will you meet us?

Speaker: 00:14:17

Like at the next spot?

Speaker: 00:14:18

And he's like, sure.

Speaker: 00:14:20

And then Emily proceeds to question Comey and says, what's

Speaker: 00:14:23

going on with you in that.

Speaker: 00:14:25

And come, he says, I don't know yet, but he's really hot.

Speaker: 00:14:28

And then Emily says, I don't want you to do anything.

Speaker: 00:14:31

You're going to regret coming.

Speaker: 00:14:33

Emily.

Speaker: 00:14:34

Don't you mean that you're actually talking about yourself right now.

Speaker: 00:14:37

You don't want to do something that you're already gonna regret are let's

Speaker: 00:14:41

just actually say regretted, like sleeping with her boyfriend Gabriel.

Speaker: 00:14:47

Pretty ironic.

Speaker: 00:14:48

So there's the irony in that?

Speaker: 00:14:50

So by the way, Emily did end up getting a table after all

Speaker: 00:14:54

at the Saint Laurent party.

Speaker: 00:14:56

So Emily did end up getting a table after all.

Speaker: 00:15:00

Laurent restaurant party, because, you know, she doesn't give up.

Speaker: 00:15:04

And even though they were booked, she finds a way to get things done and that

Speaker: 00:15:08

you have to love about her, that she's persistent and she is a go getter.

Speaker: 00:15:12

And that's why she does well in business.

Speaker: 00:15:15

So Emily sees Lauren at the bar and she goes there because she's a little.

Speaker: 00:15:20

Ticked off at this point.

Speaker: 00:15:21

And she's like, why aren't there any bottles of champagne where it would

Speaker: 00:15:24

really be nice to see some bottles of champagne where like I promised, her,

Speaker: 00:15:28

and then the woman that he's with is actually Sylvie, surprise, surprise Emily.

Speaker: 00:15:36

And so Emily is completely shocked.

Speaker: 00:15:39

And she's wondering, what is Sylvie doing here?

Speaker: 00:15:43

And what is she doing here with Mr.

Speaker: 00:15:44

Laurent?

Speaker: 00:15:46

They are actually married to each other.

Speaker: 00:15:49

So then on the beach, Emily's talking to Sylvie and she says, you don't have

Speaker: 00:15:55

to flirt with that dirt back to save my ass and Sylvie disclosed this to her.

Speaker: 00:16:00

That that dirt bag is actually her husband.

Speaker: 00:16:04

Oops, Emily oopsie.

Speaker: 00:16:07

And then Emily's shocked that Sylvie's married.

Speaker: 00:16:09

Cause she had no clue, but Sylvia has a right to keep her business, her

Speaker: 00:16:13

business and she doesn't need to share it with Emily and that's quite okay.

Speaker: 00:16:17

And by the way, You do have to love Sylvie and season two of Emily and Paris.

Speaker: 00:16:22

Are you liking Sylvie better in season two than season one?

Because I am, and I think she's pretty much a bad-ass and she's

got this like killer body.

She does what she wants when she wants, she answers to no one.

And basically she is the boss and she can also party it up on the dance floor.

I'd say she's pretty cool.
